This note serves one purpose and that is to introduce my good friend the incomparable Brenda White! Ms. White is an exciting, soulful vocalist and an outstanding entertainer who is an “AWESOME” Tina Turner Impersonator based in Orlando, Florida. She is considered by many to be a mixture of Nancy Wilson, Etta James, Aretha Franklin, and most of all Tina Turner with the showmanship of a James Brown.
After completing her first CD "Reflections, Ms. White has followed-up with her sophomore effort "You've Gotten Use to Me", which speaks for itself but in spite of the message, the music will have you dancing right out of your shoes, with a bonus track destined to become the "married woman's Nation Anthem". "Biskits Made From Scratch" tells the story for any married woman that has had the experience of her husband leaving her and their children for a PYT (pretty young thang).
Her third CD, "A LONG TIME COMING...But I Made It," will follow this fall. This musical collection was largely written and produced by Ms. White in consultation with Dexter Redding, son of the late, great, Otis Redding. Contained on the new compact disc are 10 original songs and four old favorites.
Brenda White and the White Boys have once again hit the music world with an awe-inspiring CD. The Bands music can only be surpassed by the vocals of Ms. White. Ms. White's voice is astounding! The inflections, modulation etc… it is a breathtaking instrument that instantly beguiles the listener. The minute the CD is finished one wants a repeat. Brenda White and the White Boys can only be labeled as incredible. A collection of both CDs is a must for anyone that has a love of the Blues, Jazz or Soul.
